Lou has evolved over the years. I created her in (I want to say, I'm not sure) 2019-2020. The earliest drawing I have of her is from February of 2023, but she existed first in writing.
When she was created, I was going through what was probably the darkest period of my life. I lived vicariously through this character, who had run away from home and found safety, protection, and true love in a responsible and honorable man, Jim Lake Jr., who shielded her from her old issues. She formed such a deep bond that it was literally biological and even had several children with him.
It feels incredibly stupid to me now to have latched onto a children's show character and created such a universe around him, but I will admit that it still brings me comfort to this day. Lou has deep sentimental value in my heart.
Though she is a Trollhunters OC, I use her a lot for crossovers, so she can be "found" anywhere (maybe even sometimes in the Super Store).
Info about Lou:
Lou is 7'4 and ~300 pounds of mostly natural muscle. Her frame is thin with wide hips and elegant limbs. She has tan skin and vitiligo patterns on her face and parts of her body. Her hair is long, slightly wavy, and usually described as "champagne colored." Her eyes are considered "gentle" and are forest green. She has plump, pouty lips, thick brows, a deer nose and ears, and tall antlers. Her antlers do shed every year, and sometimes come back in extremely different shapes, such as in the shape of an elk's rack, or in the shape of a white-tailed deer's.
She is my own fictional species of troll, a Huldra, which are one of the most human-like species of troll (they are based on the Scandinavian hulders), and are the most rare. They still act extremely troll-ish and go through the same things that would happen to a troll, such as turning to stone in sunlight. They are characterized by their human-like skin (in females) and animal-like features. They can have any animal's features, but most have ruminant ungulate features, such as deer and cattle. Most Huldra have some degree of control over nature, however Lou has not found to be proficient in this skill.
Lou is from northeastern Kentucky, otherwise known as hillbilly country or "the sticks." Her accent is extremely heavy (think 'warsh rag' and 'oyl'). Her father was not present and her mother was both an addict and extremely controlling. Until she was an older teenager, she lived as a human, unknowing of the world of trolls. A spell in which she was charmed to always seem human was cast on her before birth. When she turned 16, the spell was overpowered and lifted by her first heat (canonically trolls do not have these, in my brain they do, blame the horny teenager that made it up a bajillion years ago). She unwittingly ran away from home, to Cartonsville, New Jersey (fictional), in the middle of the night, her mind addled by the effects, where she was drawn to New Trollmarket's Heartstone and rescued by Jim Lake Jr..
Currently, she has one canonical child, Silas, and several non-canonical children (meaning they aren't written into the story yet).
Personality wise, Lou is a quiet observer, having learned this behavior from being around her mother. However, when she got away from her, she learned when and how to stand up for herself. When comfortable, Lou can become talkative and a story-teller. With her children, and with people she sees as vulnerable, she is especially attentive and motherly.
